Is my financial data safe?
Yes! All your data is stored locally on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or store any personal information on external servers. Your data is protected by your device's built-in security (screen lock, encryption).
How do I back up my data?
Go to Settings → Data → Backup Data. This will export your data as a JSON file that you can save to your preferred location. We recommend backing up regularly to prevent data loss.
Can I use Ovi without internet?
Yes! Ovi works completely offline. Internet is only required for the AI advisor feature. All other features — transactions, wallets, budgets, statistics, reminders — work without any internet connection.
How does the AI advisor work?
The AI advisor analyzes your spending patterns and provides personalized financial tips. You can also record transactions by chatting naturally (e.g., "lunch 50k" or "+salary 10m"). The AI uses OpenRouter API and does not store your conversation data.
Will I lose my data if I uninstall the app?
Yes, all data is deleted when you uninstall the app. Please use the backup feature (Settings → Backup Data) before uninstalling to save your data.
What languages does Ovi support?
Ovi currently supports Vietnamese (Tiếng Việt), English, and Chinese (中文). You can change the language anytime in Settings.
How do I report a bug?
Please email us at support@ovi.asia with a description of the issue, your device model, and Android version. Screenshots are very helpful!
